Her work has been featured in The New York Times, ABC News, Forbes, and other outlets. Her journey into sleep science began in an unexpected place: the Chinese Space Agency. While growing up on its campus, her father worked with the country’s first space crew to explore how sleep changes in orbit. These early experiences filled her childhood dreams with stars—but as Dr. Wu delved into neuroscience, she discovered her true calling in a different kind of “final frontier”: the human brain, where the mysteries of sleep and dreaming offer boundless possibilities for healing and innovation.
Unlike many speakers who rely on familiar sleep hygiene directives, she takes audiences deeper—into the intersection of sleep biology, behavioral science, and real-world social forces. She won’t focus on convincing people why sleep is important; most health-conscious, high-performing professionals already know that. Instead, Dr. Wu offers a more intuitive and resilient approach to how we engage with sleep—one that’s personalized, values-driven, and grounded in the nuances of human behavior. That’s why her approach is as much an art as a science.
What also sets Dr. Wu apart is the way she communicates. Her goal isn’t to present data—it’s to create “aha” moments. She uses storytelling, metaphors, and lived experience to make sleep feel approachable, even liberating. Audiences walk away not just informed, but changed.
